Human activities over the years have warmed our planet, these industrial activities in which our modern civilization depend upon have raised the atmospheric carbon dioxide resulting to the issue of climate change which is threatening food production, causing rising sea level and flooding among other challenges.

During fetching of firewood used in cooking, some women and children are taking away from their other obligations and are exposed to sexual assault, snake bite and other forms of attack. Therefore, mitigating climate change is a way of reducing the release of gas emissions that warm our planet. Hence, innovative cook stove is used to reduce smoke, the consumption of firewood and it aids food to cook faster – one important principle of innovative cook stove is to elevate firewood to allow air under the fire, thereby creating room for the air under the fire to burn more efficiently. She also warned that stones from river and lake should not be used as such stones might explode.
