JDPC Nnewi Conducts 2026 Medical Outreach at Unubi Medical Complex
In line with its commitment to promoting human dignity and improving access to quality healthcare, the Justice, Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) Nnewi successfully conducted its 2026 Medical Outreach at Unubi Medical Complex, Anambra State.
The outreach, themed “Together for Health, Stand with Science,” brought together healthcare professionals, volunteers, community leaders, and residents in a collaborative effort to improve community health and well-being. The initiative provided a range of essential healthcare services, including medical consultations, health screenings, diagnosis and treatment of common ailments, health education, and referrals for specialized care where necessary.
The medical outreach was designed to address the healthcare needs of underserved populations by bringing professional medical services closer to the people. Hundreds of beneficiaries received free medical attention, medications, and valuable health information aimed at encouraging preventive healthcare practices and informed health-seeking behaviour.
Speaking during the outreach, Director of JDPC Nnewi, Rev. Fr. Dr. Ben Chima Okolo, emphasized the importance of science-based healthcare interventions in promoting healthier communities. He noted that access to accurate health information, early diagnosis, and timely treatment remains crucial in preventing disease and improving quality of life.
